Abby, Claire, and Drew

My uncle scheduled this session primarily for an updated family photo but also picked out some cute outfits & stylin' hats for the girls so I could get some new shots of them. While I had photographed their baby brother, Drew, twice this summer, it had been awhile since I had done a session with Abby & Claire. So, after we checked family photos off the list and got a cute sibling shot, it was time for some fun with the girls! I know I've probably said it a thousand times, but I love, love, love working with elementary-age girls!

Claire and Abby always deliver magic together for the camera.

Photobucket

Claire really looks up to her big sister and wants to do everything she does. Claire requested kiss pictures and Abby tried to act too cool. So sweet!

Photobucket

Again, magic. I could have snapped away until the sun went down (oh wait, I did. :- ) And, can you see how happy Claire is to be getting her kiss? Love these!

Photobucket

Miss Abby just celebrated her 8th birthday! I can still picture her as a newborn the night she was born and the nurse held her up to the glass for her large fan club to admire!

Photobucket

Claire is the epitome of feistiness & sass! She had plenty of cute poses all her own.

I'll save the family photos for their gallery, but I just had to include this sibling shot of all three Eckert kiddos!

Rain, rain, go away!

Much to my dismay, my session this evening got rained out! It was with this little guy, who made his debut on my blog as a newborn (and is also featured in my header above). Well look at him now at almost 6 months!

Photobucket

If you look closely, you can see the rain drop streaks paused in the air.

We'll be meeting up again in a few days so check back for more photos of 6-month old Cash soon! Heather & Wes, thanks again for meeting up with me. See you soon!

Anna is One!

Another little one that I've seen a handful of times this year and it's so cool to see their little personalities become more and more defined! Anna still has that awesome, wide-mouthed smile--her whole face lights up when she's happy! And now she's starting to build her vocabulary. Her favorite thing to say? Anna! It's the sweetest sound to hear a little one year-old baby say "An-na." She says it so clearly (and so often! LOL!). When we were getting started with our session, Anna let us know, in no uncertain terms, that she wasn't having any part of it. But, after Auntie A started singing Happy Birthday to her, she was all smiles and even danced!

Love this mother-daughter image!

And, I just had to put together a little collage to show off Anna's many expressions! This girl is a ham & loves the limelight! She kept us laughing!

Tyler is Turning One!

I've photographed Tyler a handful of times in his first year and it's hard to believe he'll be one in just over a week! My sessions with Tyler are always a joy because he has to be the most happy, smiley baby ever! His little giggles are the sweetest. We were able to capture some warm evening light and vivid fall color in his first birthday session and we ended with a cake smash. On to the irresistible cuteness....

We had a hunch that Tyler would like his first cake since he's a big fan of solid foods and we were right! It started out pretty innocently...

Photobucket

Somewhere along the way it started getting messier.....

And by the time he was finished, the cake was officially smashed.....

Ellie & Addison, Take 2!

My other reshoot after the PC & external hard drive crash was with this awesome family. I asked Mom if we could do a little change of venue for take 2 and I'm so thrilled she gave me the go ahead! I was in heaven with all the gorgeous "backdrops" and lighting! I'm burning the midnight oil for this 2:00 am post because I don't want to make their Momma wait another minute! This is a whopping post--my largest ever--you might want to grab a snack Jennifer & Jay!

First up, this shot I love of little Miss Addison. She's so stinkin' cute & always on the go!

Photobucket

Actually, she's always full-steam ahead! Isn't she irresistible in this adorable outfit? The little boots are just too cute!

Photobucket

In addition to reading (okay not really, but she does like books), she also sings Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star. When her Mommy is singing it, she chimes in on all the words she knows! Blew me away!

The next two photos are from September. Fortunately, they were not lost in the crash because they were still on my memory card!

Mom was hoping I could recreate the swing photo of Ellie. I not only got a new (and improved thanks to the gorgeous fall backdrop) swing shot of Ellie, but also one with Addie!

Photobucket

Remember me saying I think Mom & Dad have a model on their hands? I'm CERTAIN of it! This girl is a pure blast to photograph! In shooting & self teaching over the last few months, I've definitely learned that I am not a photojournalist, but rather I crave images that have a bit of a commercial feel. Ah, it's like little Ellie stepped right out of the pages of a children's clothing catalog....

Jennifer & Jay, I can't wait to hear what you guys think of your new sneak peek photos!

Alissa's Senior Session, Take 2!

I was so excited about the shots we got at Alissa's senior session last month! Then my PC & external hard drive crashed and I was so disgusted to think that all those shots were lost . After finding out the local repair shop wasn't able to recover my data, we planned a reshoot, and did we ever luck out on the weather & scenery! Fall foliage is making it's debut here in Southern Indiana, so I had lots of gorgeous color and wonderful evening sun to work with, plus pleasant temps, too! I still had two of my favorite shots from Alissa's initial session. So, this time around, we recreated a few of the other shots from last time plus we got lots of new shots that I like even better! Have I mentioned how much I LOVE doing senior sessions??? I'm strongly considering just specializing in seniors going into 2010. Any thoughts from my Dubois County blog readers?

Okay, on to the peek...

Meet Maxwell

On Tuesday I traveled to Tennessee to meet eleven-day old Maxwell. You may remember his Mommy, my friend, Amy, on the blog from her maternity session. Amy and I had been hatching plans for Maxwell's newborn session for months. We were hoping to put our heads (and hands) together to try out some new poses. You can see more shots of Maxwell on Amy's blog here. I'm sure she'll be taking more as time (and energy!) allows in the coming weeks! This is my first photo post that I processed on my new iMac, so I'm still adjusting.

And the stork bundle shot. I was so frustrated because we just couldn't get "the shot." Then I started going through my images at home & now I'm loving this shot, even though it isn't what we sat out to achieve. I love the fresh feel of it with all the green, the bright sunshine illuminating the bundle, and, of course, the sun-dappled foliage bokeh! So, Amy, what do you think?
